Pretty Good

This is a very enjoyable game and I found myself playing it for a number of hours now. The upgrade system is well thought out with a very nice reward system. The music is fitting, the graphics are nice for the most part (the ships themselves could have been drawn a bit better I'm sure) and good controls. The presence of a story, although a rather vague one, is a nice touch too.

Although the game is great, there are a few things that irritated me:
- The ships on screen are so big! It's very difficult to manoeuvre around to avoid the hundreds of lasers all over the screen.
- I can't quite understand why there are negative bonuses, it seemed to me neither fun nor a good hindering process for avoiding an obstacle - only an annoyance.
- Those Nekon Attack missions just seemed like a waste because the rewards are so small. I found myself not even bothering to attempt the gold and platinum ones.
- Since the basic gun for your ship is fairly poor, you pretty much have to rely only on bonus weapons to get any damage done. For about 70-80% of the game time, a weapon bonus is active. They're more like standard essentials than bonuses.
- The bosses on occasion fly down too low and since they're already taking up half the screen, this makes it impossible to avoid any projectiles. This is particularly the case with the boss on level 17 (where I'm stuck).

All in all though, this is pretty good.

Wonderful

It's wonderful to see something like this appearing in the portal.

From what I saw, the AI was very good. On hard mode it beat me and I always thought I was pretty good! Chess AI is one of the most difficult things to program around. A nice touch with the Zelda theme too. I do hope that this is recognised for it's great effort. This is an admirable entry and I really hope you do well in your future submissions.

Very good

I very rarely complete a game with my little patience, but this one I managed to get right the way through! On each level I couldn't wait to see what amusing things were coming up next. This was so much fun, the graphics and music kind of reminded me of the good old early days of Newgrounds. Just one question though, why shoot safes and reflecting walls when he can just shoot himself in the head?

Very good

I really enjoyed this game. The style is great, the music, although I'm not into this sort of music did feel perfect for the situations, when a menace was around it switched to suspence music, a nice touch. Some animations of the man you're protecting would be nice, such as seeing him giving his speech, waving his arms or something. Repositioning on the map is a good idea, however I noticed when a sniper is repositioning, you can still control that sniper and he's not moving. Also, when you zoom in on an area where you killed a stranger in the past, you see that stranger dying again. It was quite long for a first level, I do hope you'll be making more levels in the future. The ending was a little dissapointing, it just went white and you didn't see the last man die. Still, a great game to play nonetheless.

Well done.

Pretty good

A nice idea. Very enjoyable. Guns, money, gambling, killing, good music, western theme, what more could I ask for? Actually the music did get a little irritating after a while. The mini games were a nice idea, but the rewards for those seemed a little low, so I only did each one once.

Reading some other reviews here, some people found it difficult...what on earth were they doing? I found it quite easy! I didn't use the clover leaf until the level 6 zombie person myself, so perhaps some difficulty options would be an idea. I never knew how many bullets I had remaining, and if it was shown somewhere, I certainly didn't see it, I had to base it off how much it could sell for. The inventory system was anoying - I couldn't buy health (by the way, the 100% bottle should be cheaper than four 25% bottles) because my inventory was full, so I had to sell something to drink a bottle! The ending was dissapointing too.

Still, it was a good game, keep it up.

Pretty good.

A very nice game to play, a good idea. I couldn't get past level 6 myself, but I was trying and trying since I got quite hooked on it. The music is pretty good too.

A couple of bugs I'm afraid. On level 1, if you fail and select 'menu,' those options remain there and overlap the main menu. The mute button works turning off the audio, but switching it back on didn't seem to work.

Overall it was very fine game and quite refreshing (from shooting games) . Good work, 8/10.

Quite good

This was quite a fun game. Nice graphics, nice sound selections and an interesting system for the inbetween level bits.

However, quite a few little anoying things that wound me up. I would aim right at their heads and it the bullets would usually go elsewhere, sometime at the legs of the zombie beside it. When your clip empties you have to wait until it's reloaded before switching weapon. I'd prefer it if you could switch weapon straight after you hear the click. The collision in that barracks is a bit off. It seems that when a survivor gets the last kill, the game doesn't proceed to the next level. Why was the M4A1 so poor? I spent most of the game with the uzi and breezed through it. In the middle of reloading if you hold down fire, the bullets count down anyway, despite the fact no bullets have left the gun yet. The survivors weren't really much help, and I don't think they had bullet trails. The first couple of levels are the hardest in the game! Once you find the uzi the levels become easier. There were dogs at the first half of the game and they disappeared for the rest. The ending was dissapointing.

Ok I've gone on a bit, the game itself was good fun, it's just I like to see more from a game that's currently number 1 in the portal. Good effort though.

Yes

"Defend the Allies from the scourge of Europe." The first level is Britain, Britain is European as well.

This game itself is basically Metal Slug with different sprites and levels. Except in this version, the window is really small, so you can't see very much either side of you.

Better than most of the shit on the front page.

You can't spend the loan money, which completely defeats the purpose of taking out a loan in the first place. The fighting was poor, I had trouble turning my mother fucker around after he finished punching, he wouldn't do so until the animation had finished. You have some kind of music playing interface, yet there's only 1 track, also it doesn't loop properly. I liked the huge number of hair/hat sets you had, that was well done. This is basically Drug Wars with some poor fighting, so I can't give you the highest score on earth, instead I shall give you 6/10.

Bug

If you keep clicking on his stomach, he doesn't fight back - crap.

The only good thing about this game is the appearence of Britney being shown as ugly as she is.

One day I will make something worthy of submitting instead of critising everyone else!
